The Congolese youth delegation is currently in Gaborone, Botswana, to participate in the SADC Youth Council of Member States.

This council focuses on the five principles of the regional institution's 2050 Agenda. Leading the delegation is Lumeya Masuta Jonathan, president of the International Forum of African Youth for African Development (FIJADA), a pan-African program dedicated to the continent's development. He is accompanied by Noella Buanga Laula, administrative researcher, Riggie Tikazala Kanua, researcher at the African Union, and Ariel Bula Makumbundu, expert at the Regional Integration Office. Together, they honored their country with their speeches at this council and were received by the Congolese embassy team in Botswana.
The excellent news is that, thanks to their participation, the DRC will host the Youth Council in December 2025 in Kinshasa. These young people also highlighted several challenges to be addressed in the SADC region, where the DRC is positioning itself as a key country for the implementation of the SADC Agenda.
