On April 4, 2025, the University of Kinshasa will host the grand finale of the first edition of the “Unikinois” festival, showcasing the artistic creations of its students. The event, organized by the Student Coordination, will take place at the Sports Complex of this alma mater at 3 p.m. It aims to promote culture and harmony on campus, and to encourage students to participate in artistic and scientific initiatives.

The festival includes various competitions, such as “Voice Unikin” (music), “Orator Unikin” (eloquence), and “Ambassador Unikin” (modeling), each following a rigorous selection process with social themes. Participants in these competitions address topics such as “Stop the War.”
A prize pool of 2 million Congolese francs will be distributed through the competition, with scores awarded to 70 % by a jury and 30 % by paid student votes. Kevin KANIKA, Minister of Culture of the inspired hill, emphasized the importance of this event in promoting student skills and making the University of Kinshasa a center of innovation. The Unikinois festival, launched in 2022, celebrates the talent and community spirit of students.
