“Mental health is essential for a country that wants to develop.” This was the leitmotif of the meeting held this Friday, August 11, 2023, at the Academic Senate of Mgr Maurice Plevoet under the auspices of the Rector of the University of Kinshasa, Professor Jean-Marie KAYEMBE NTUMBA.

This working session brought together the Steering Committee of the Kinshasa Neuro-PsychoPathological Center (CNPP), department heads, and members of the CNPP's learned societies. The participants provided a brief overview of this unique structure in Central Africa. Logistical, financial, and managerial issues, as well as possible solutions, were discussed. Within two weeks, a strategic plan for the revitalization of what should be a flagship of the University of Kinshasa, will be presented to the University of Kinshasa Management Committee.
