The University of Kinshasa will once again serve the community through drug manufacturing. Three departments were officially launched at the Kinshasa University Clinics: pharmacy, medical imaging, and radiology, as well as the pediatric hematology-oncology unit. The inaugural visit was conducted on Monday, March 3, 2025, by the Rector, Professor Jean-Marie Kayembe Ntumba, accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor Gauthier Messia, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Professor Roger Mbungu Mwimba, the Medical Director of the Kinshasa University Clinics, Professor Jean-Robert Makulo Rissassi, and other CUK department heads.
In his speech, the chief authority of the inspired hill praised the efforts made by the manager of the Kinshasa University Clinics (CUK) to revitalize these services. This revival of the manufacturing of medications at the CUK, accompanied by the revival of Kosucuk syrup, also helps ensure the training of pharmacy students, emphasized the Rector of the inspired hill. He further specified that the CUK currently has modern medical imaging, which allows them to no longer feel self-conscious.
