A delegation from the Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM) has been in Kinshasa since Sunday, November 17, 2024, as part of its cooperation with the Congolese universities that are members of this organization. This delegation, led by Professor Patrick OKORI, Executive Secretary of RUFORUM, was received on Monday, November 18, 2024, by the Rector of the University of Kinshasa, Professor Jean-Marie KAYEMBE NTUMBA. A working session followed. The objective of this visit is, among other things, to assess the challenges facing Unikin and other Congolese universities, to establish support mechanisms, to identify opportunities to support student and teacher exchanges, and to assess research priorities. The RUFORUM delegation is also expected to meet with the Minister of Higher and University Education of the DRC, Professor Marie-Thérèse SOMBO SAFI AYAN MUKUNA.
