This Friday, December 8, 2023, the University of Kinshasa observed a day without vehicles or motorcycles. This day was organized to combat environmental pollution and global warming, as recommended by the World Health Organization during COP28.
A day without cars or motorcycles, as emphasized by the Rector of the inspired hill, Professor Jean-Marie KAYEMBE NTUMBA, will allow the people of Unikinois to breathe pure and healthy air by fighting against carbon dioxide emissions.

For his part, the Administrative Secretary General, Professor Bruno Lapika, recalled that the observance of this day is not new in other climes; this tradition already exists. This vehicle-free day has another benefit: it allows you to maintain your physique, with walking, while burning calories.
