Strategic Partnership: The University of Kinshasa Joins Forces with the DRC Social Fund to Promote Agricultural Development and Research
On July 23, 2024, the University of Kinshasa took a major step in its commitment to development and research by signing a strategic partnership with the Social Fund of the Democratic Republic of Congo (FSRDC). This collaboration, orchestrated by Professor Jean-Marie KAYEMBE NTUMBA, Rector of this Alma mater, aims to promote initiatives in several key sectors, including agriculture, research, and veterinary medicine.
The partnership was formalized at the University of Kinshasa in front of both parties involved. The FSRDC positions itself as a leading institution in social protection, both productive and non-productive, and chose the University of Kinshasa, known as a center of knowledge, to carry out its core mission.
Mr. Philippe Ngwala, Coordinator of the FSRDC, emphasized the importance of this alliance: "This partnership is fundamental to implementing an agricultural transformation program in the DRC. Together, we will be able to develop sustainable solutions that will benefit the community and strengthen food security in our country."
