Promoting Competition and Consumer Protection in the DRC: The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development hosted by the University of Kinshasa
Promoting competition and protecting consumers in the DRC. This was the essence of the discussion that the Rector of the University of Kinshasa, Professor Jean-Marie Kayembe Ntumba, had this Monday, August 28, 2023, with a delegation from the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, visiting Kinshasa. The objective is to involve the entire university community and, by extension, the entire Congolese nation in popularizing the existing legal and institutional framework for consumer protection and promoting competition.
The meeting also paved the way for two working sessions to be held on August 30 and 31 at the Government Building between stakeholders in the sector. The delegation from the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development was led by Ambassador Henry NSWANA, Deputy Coordinator of the National Competition Commission and Focal Point of the Ministry of National Economy.
