During an emotional ceremony held this Tuesday, May 7, 2024, Professor Eustache BANZA, outgoing Academic Secretary General of the University of Kinshasa, warmly thanked the President of the Republic, Félix-Antoine TSHISEKEDI TSHILOMBO, as well as the entire university community for the unforgettable moments shared within this venerable institution. He pledged to defend the values and missions of this alma mater in his future responsibilities with conviction.
His successor, Professor Charles ODIKO, newly appointed Academic Secretary General, emphasized the importance of youth in taking the reins of this crucial position. He expressed his desire to draw inspiration from the members of the Management Committee to gain enriching experiences.
In a speech imbued with wisdom, the Rector of this illustrious university recalled the proverb “If youth knew, if old age could,” thus encouraging the new academic leader to harmonize these two elements to further his mission. Professor Jean-Marie KAYEMBE NTUMBA warmly welcomed him, calling for a harmonious and fruitful collaboration.
