Evaluation meeting between the University of Kinshasa and the Kinshasa War College

On Monday, November 28, 2022, the Rector of the University of Kinshasa (UNIKIN), Professor Jean-Marie Kayembe, led a delegation from the University of Kinshasa to the Kinshasa War College (EGK), headed by Major General MULAND Godefroid, for an evaluation meeting of the partnership signed between the two institutions on February 8, 2020.

The delegation from the University of Kinshasa was composed of Professors Alphonse Kazumba (Dean of the Faculty of Social, Administrative and Political Sciences); Jean Louis Esambo (Dean of the Faculty of Law); Emile Ngoy (Director General of the ISC and Honorary Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management, and resource person on behalf of the said Faculty); Pascal Kapagama (Coordinator of Cooperation and International Relations of the University of Kinshasa and Responsible for relations between the Kinshasa War College and university and scientific institutions).

The 3 faculties concerned are the supporting faculties of the Master's program in Strategic Studies currently being structured at the University of Kinshasa and which will benefit EGK trainees who meet the university prerequisites for additional courses. The delegation presented to the EGK, the progress of the structuring of the program as well as the timeline for the remaining stages, to the satisfaction of the Commander of the EGK, assisted on this occasion by Lieutenant-Colonel Justin Vuvu. The Rector of the University of Kinshasa reiterated the determination of the University of Kinshasa to get involved in reflections, projects, and innovations, thanks to the great expertise that the University of Kinshasa has in several fields and sectors of interest for the needs of the Congolese army and other forces of the defense and security system of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The UNIKIN delegation paid a courtesy visit to Major General Urbain Ntambuka, Commander of the Military Higher Education Group, who affirmed the expectations of the Military Higher Education system from this partnership with UNIKIN. A friendly meal at the Officers' Mess of the Kinshasa War College at the Military Higher Education Center concluded the meeting.
