Supporting responses to M-pox and developing rapid M-pox testing is the purpose of Japanese Professor Osamu Kunii's visit to the University of Kinshasa. As a university professor in Japan, he also plans to foster relationships with Japanese universities to continue this research together.

This Japanese delegation, led by Professor Pierre AKILIMALI of the Faculty of Medicine/School of Public Health of the University of Kinshasa, was received this Monday, April 7, 2025 in audience by the Rector, Professor Jean-Marie KAYEMBE NTUMBA. Japanese Professor Doctor OSAMU KUNII is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Global Health, a Japanese fund aimed at supporting research in the response to diseases.
