Promoting Youth Entrepreneurship: The Rector of the University of Kinshasa Welcomes a Start-up Manufacturer of Riot Shields

The Rector of the University of Kinshasa, Professor Jean-Marie Kayembe Ntumba, received two young Congolese designers and sellers of riot shields on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. Arthur Amisi Kapepa and Oscar Amisi Manara took the opportunity to present two riot shields made in their laboratory in Kinshasa. One of the shields could allow several law enforcement officers to protect themselves against projectiles and other bladed weapons.

The other, equipped with a solar lamp, could be used to illuminate dark areas during night patrols. It's worth noting that the two young designers already manufacture and market creams and yogurts in the fermentation laboratory of the Department of Industrial Chemistry at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at the University of Kinshasa.
